Nestled in the heart of downtown Oshawa, the Islamic Centre of Oshawa (ICO) is one of the oldest masjids in the province of Ontario. The ICO is a non-profit, registered charity that has been serving the Muslim community in and around the region since 1979.

The ICO was established with the aim of providing a place of worship for the expanding Muslim community and to cater to the Islamic educational needs of all members of our society.

Given its close proximity to the city centre, the ICO is heavily relied upon not only by residents of the city but also families traveling to and from Toronto, local businesses, and individuals working in the area. Regular services currently provided at the ICO include the five daily congregational prayers, the Friday Jumma sermon and prayer, Taraweeh prayers in Ramadhan, the two Eidain prayers and a variety of religious talks and programs held throughout the year.

ICO’s Vision
