Alhamdulillah, by the Grace and Mercy of Allah (SWT), we have decided to go ahead with the plan to build a NEW MASJID in the City of Oshawa.  We ask all brothers and sisters to make Dua that this project is a success and that Allah’s (SWT) help be with us every step of the way.

Below, are pictures of the proposed New Islamic Centre of Oshawa.  Although the pictures may indicate otherwise, this structure is a very humble structure.   The main floor is only 4,000 square feet. Close to ninety percent of the structure is the main prayer hall.  Every attempt has been made not to waste even an inch of the land on which the new masjid will be situated.

The main features of the New Islamic Centre are as follows:

·    4,000 square feet main floor with a basement.

·    Separate brothers and sisters prayer areas with separate entrances.

·    Main prayer area for brothers will accommodate 250 brothers while the main prayer area for the sisters will accommodate 70 sisters.

·    Every attempt will be made to incorporate a funeral (Janazah) area    where bodies may be bathed.

·    A separate Library / Imam’s Office.

·    Masjid will be fully accessible to disabled persons, complete with handicap ramp and handicap bathrooms.
